Desmata Inc. is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in Plano, Texas. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise software applications using Java and Spring Boot, build and support cloud-native solutions, and work with databases, APIs, and deployment technologies to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and reliable enterprise software applications using Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to enable secure and efficient communication between enterprise systems and external services.
• Build and support cloud-native applications using AWS services such as S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
• Implement search and indexing solutions using Elasticsearch to improve application performance and enable efficient data retrieval.
• Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments using Kubernetes to ensure consistent application delivery across environments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using AWS CloudFormation following Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
• Design, implement, and optimize database solutions using relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle, as well as NoSQL databases including MongoDB and DynamoDB.
• Conduct performance tuning, debugging, and unit testing using development and testing tools including JUnit and Mockito to ensure application stability and performance.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices using OAuth, JSON Web Tokens (JWT), and role-based access control mechanisms.
• Develop efficient algorithms and data processing methods to enhance system performance and scalability.
• Support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Jenkins to streamline development and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, quality assurance engineers, and other development team members in Agile/Scrum environments to ensure timely delivery of software solutions. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 6 months of experience as a Software Engineer or in a related occupation.
